$110.00Hand-thrown from coarse white clay, this tea tray is finished with a deep brown glaze and fired at high temperature. Fine grains remain visible beneath the surface, giving the clay a dry, stone-like texture that shifts from dark umber to warm reddish brown as it catches the light.
Concentric throwing lines move gently across the shallow interior, preserving the rhythm of the maker’s hands. At the center, a subtly recessed resting area holds the teapot naturally in place, while the broad surrounding surface catches water from each pour.
Nothing about the surface is perfectly uniform. Specks of clay, variations in glaze, and traces of the wheel remain visible—small records of material, fire, and hand.
